SHINDONG SUPER JUNIOR RAPPER AND DANCER PROFILE

Shindong is the rapper of Korean Boyband Super Junior (SuJu). Shindong is a great dancer but also a rapper, often co-writing rap lyrics and rhythms with Eunhyuk.

Shindong seems to not be very popular member of the group because of his weight problem, thats what it seems like anyways. But don’t forget Shindong is the great dancer of the group.

Shindong Biography

Born September 28, 1985, he better known by his stage name Shindong, is a singer, entertainer, and a member of Korean boy band Super Junior. In the past Shindong has been criticized for his large size, which contradicts many slim Korean idols. Despite his larger appearance, Shindong is known to be one of the four lead dancers and the group’s dance choreographer, creating dances for the bandmates whenever they make dance performances. Shindong is also the rapper of the group and co-writes rap lyrics with the rest of his bandmates. He is also Super Junior’s main visual gag performer.

Shindong Pre-debut years

Shin made his first appearance in July 2002 when he was seen dancing on Goyangsi Youth Dance. However, he didn’t join SM Entertainment until 2005 when he won first place on the 9th SM Youth Best Selection Best Comedian, surprising the judges with his trained acting and dancing ability. Under SM Entertainment, Shin was trained in many areas of performing talents, specifically improving his dancing versatility and rapping.

Shindong in Super Junior

Shindong was born in Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang on September 28, 1985. Having a love for dancing, Shindong signed up for the 2002 Goyangsi Youth Dance contest and won the grand prize. A year later, he joined the contest again and won gold. In 2004, Shindong joined the Mnet Epi Contest and won both the gold prize and popularity award. In 2005, Shindong signed up for the SM Best Youth Contest and won first place for Best Comedian, achieving the grand prize. He signed a contract with SM Entertainment and received lessons to further improve Shindong’s dancing ability.

Months after joining the company, Shindong was put in the large all-boy rotational group Super Junior as a member of its first generation, Super Junior 05. He decided to use the stage name ‘Shindong’ due to his birth name sounding similar to band mate Donghae. ‘Shindong’ (신동) is derived from his surname and the first character of his birth name. It is also the Korean word for “child prodigy.”

With a total of twelve members, Super Junior 05 officially debuted on November 6, 2005 on SBS’s music program Popular Songs, performing their first single, “TWINS (Knock Out)”. Their debut performance attracted over 500 fans and also garnered oversea viewers from both China and Japan. A full studio album was released a month later, which debuted at #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts.

In March 2006, SM Entertainment began to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation. However, plans changed when the company added in a thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, and the company declared a halt in forming future Super Junior generations. The group dropped the suffix “05″ and became officially credited as Super Junior. The re-polished group hit big after they released their first CD single “U” the following summer, which became Super Junior’s most successful single in the music charts until the release of “Sorry, Sorry” in March 2009.

During his career with Super Junior, Shindong was put into two subgroups, smaller groups that are branched off of the larger Super Junior group. In February 2007, he was placed in the trot-singing Super Junior-T. A year later, he became a member of Super Junior-Happy

Shindong Hosting

Five days after Super Junior 05′s debut performance, Shindong became the emcee of Mnet’s music program M!Countdown along with Leeteuk and Kang-in. They stayed as the hosts throughout the remaining year until Kang-in was replaced by Eunhyuk in mid 2006. The trio’s last day of hosting was on March 27, 2008.

Shindong is popularly known as an active emcee and radio host of MBC’s BoBoBo Ai Joa and KMTV’s Green Apple Sound, successfully establishing the image, “DJ Shindong.” Shindong left Green Apple Sound to host MBC’s Stop the Boring Time Radio with Kim Shin-young.

Shindong Acting

While Shindong had prior acting experiences as a comedian, his acting debut was in the Super Junior film Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, which premiered in the summer of 2007. In 2008, Shindong played a major supporting role in the mini television series Single Dad in Love and also participated in the drama’s original soundtrack. He and radio partner Kim Shin Young appeared in an episode of popular MBC drama Queen of Housewives.

It has been known that ShinDong is currently dating a non-celebrity girlfriend. This was confirmed from what he wrote in Super Junior’s latest 4th album ‘thanks to’.

SM Entertainment also spoke up about it on 14th May,”ShinDong has made a love confession through the ‘thanks to’ note. He is currently dating a non-celebrity.”

ShinDong had written ‘Nari ya, let’s get married. I will propose. I will love you forever.” There has already been photos of ShinDong and his girlfriend (whom he gives the initial NR) posted up by netizens on various portal sites. But SM Ent has confirmed the photos to be “composite photos”.

Meanwhile, Super Junior will have their comeback stage on 14th May on KBS Music Bank.

Shindong proposes to his girlfriend

Super Junior’s happy virus Shindong recently confessed his love to his non-celebrity girlfriend through the thanks to section in their new album.

One of the most popular male idol groups across Asia, Super Junior, released their 4th album on the 13th.

Regarding Shindong’s “Thanks to” section that was written using a secret code, fans commented, “Shindong used a code to propose to his girlfriend,” and even released a method on how to decipher the code.

Fans deciphered this message to read, “Nari, let’s get married. I am proposing to you. I will love you forever.”

The company Shindong is affiliated with, SM Entertainment, stated on the 14th, “Shindong confessed his love through the ‘Thanks to’ section. He is currently going out with an ordinary girlfriend,” confirming the allegations.

Shindong wants to get married this October!

As you may recall, Super Junior’s Shindong proposed in code language to his girlfriend in the “Thanks To” section in Super Junior’s fourth album. It looks like he’d like to get married in the next few months!

The idol revealed more details about this matter during a recent press conference. He said, “I’ve already met with her friends and they know we’re dating. Honestly, I want to get married in October.”

Shindong also talked about how his girlfriend has been avoiding him since the proposal. He said, “Since so many people have been paying attention to this matter, she’s having a hard time.”

I guess she’s a shy girl. Let’s hope she isn’t getting cold feet!

Kim Ryeowook is one of the four lead vocalist of Korean Boyband Super Junior. Ryeowook is also a member of Super Junior-K.R.Y and Super Junior-M, two subgroups that are branched out from the main group. Along with four other members of Super Junior, he is one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.

Kim Ryeowook may be the shortest member of the group with height 173 cm, he shorter thanDonghae and Lee Sungmin (175 cm).

Ryeowook Biography

Kim Ryeowook (born June 21, 1987), more commonly credited as Ryeowook, is a Korean singer, dancer, occasional actor, and the third youngest member of Super Junior. He is recognized by his fellow members as the “eternal magnae” (eternal youngest) of the group, as well as one of the three most vocally powerful in the group (Super Junior – K.R.Y). Even before Kyuhyun’s addition to the group in May 2006, Ryeowook commonly called himself the youngest despite being a few months older than Kibum. Ryeowook is currently studying at Inha University. He is also one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.

Ryeowook Debut Years :

Kim Ryeowook was discovered through the CMB Youth ChinChin Festival in 2004 and signed a contract with SM Entertainment soon afterwards after impressing judges with his singing talent. Trained in areas of singing,dancing ,and acting Ryeowook placed particular efforts into his vocal training and music composition as he was most concerned in those areas.

Ryeowook Acting :

Ryeowook made his acting debut in the film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys, a high-school comedy/mystery film, in which he plays the eccentric vice president of the student council. Ryeowook’s acting gained positive feedback from critics and he was nominated Best Supporting Actor and [i]Best Comedic Performance at the Korean Movie Awards.

Ryeowook was the last to join Super Junior before Kyuhyun, only joining the group several weeks before their official debut in 2005. Having undergone only two months of training under SM Entertainment, Ryeowook’s late addition was rumored to be a replacement of a previous SM trainee that was supposed to debut as a member of Super Junior 05, the first generation of Super Junior.

The subgroup specializes in singing Mandarin songs, including Mandarin versions of Super Junior’s Korean songs, bringing the K-pop influence into the Chinese music industry. Super Junior-M is the first international music group in the Chinese music industry to have members of both Chinese and Korean descent. The seven-member group debuted in China on April 8, 2008 at the 8th Annual Music Chart Awards with the release of their first single music video, “U”. The subgroup released their first Chinese-language studio album, Me on May 2, 2008. The album debuted on Taiwan’s G-music combo charts as #2 and #1 on many of China’s and Thailand’s music charts.

Ryeowook is also featured in one of K.Will’s song “Teardrops”. Ryeowook is the first member of Super Junior to have a solo in a Super Junior album in their fourth album entitled Bonamana in the song One Fine Spring Day.

Ryeowook’s first composition to be officially released was “Love U More”, found on the repackaged Sorry, Sorry Version C. He co-wrote the lyrics with fellow Super Junior member Sungmin. Ryeowook is also credited for musical arrangement in the liner notes of the album.

Super Junior and f(x) get together to celebrate Ryeowook’s b-day

After Super Junior and f(x) took part in the One Heart Big Concert recently, they showed some SM family love and opened a surprise birthday party for Ryeowook who turns 23 on June 21st while on their way back to Seoul!

The location of the surprise party was not at a typical or fancy location; instead, it was held at a freeway resting spot. Nonetheless, everyone’s mood was in high spirits, making the location brim with love and celebration.

Shindong uploaded a picture of this heart-felt birthday celebration onto his Twitter along with the caption, “Celebration of Ryeowook’s birthday at a freeway resting spot on our way back from the concert. Thank you so much f(x).”

LEETEUK SUPER JUNIOR LEADER AND OLDEST MEMBER PROFILE

Park Jungsu (박정수) or Leeteuk (이특) is the leader of Korean boyband member Super Junior. and also the oldest member of the group. His stage name literally means “special”. He was the first member of Super Junior that was accepted into SM Entertainment.

Leeteuk explained that he uses a stage name due to his desire to have a name with the same effects as Kangta (and to also prevent confusion with veteran actress Park Jung-su). His stage name denotes being “special” as he wants to be a special member in the group. Leeteuk also became known as the “special leader” (특별한리더) of the group.

Leeteuk Pre-Debut

In early 2000, Park Jung-su was scouted by a talent agent in Myeongdong. He was asked to audition for the Starlight Casting System 2000, which soon signed him into SM Entertainment that same year. Park made an extremely brief cameo appearance in the MBC Korean drama All About Eve in 2000 and was also a model for Pepsi. He was then put into a five-member boy band along with his future Super Junior bandmate, Donghae by his talent agency before this idea was dropped. Some of the names for this group were OK, Pricor and Smile. After he was put in Super Junior, Park wanted a stage name similar to Kangta and thus chose the name Leeteuk. Teuk, which means “special.” This was explained on “Happy Together Friends”.

Leeteuk Debut

On November 6, 2005, Leeteuk as a part of Super Junior officially debuted on SBS’s Popular Songs performing the group’s first single “TWINS (Knock Out).” Being the oldest of the group, Leeteuk was chosen to be the leader of Super Junior, leading and guiding the group in media interviews and schedules. Since the debut of Super Junior, Leeteuk has been a regular MC for M.NET’s M!Countdown along with Super Junior members Kang-In and Shindong. However, since late 2006, Eunhyuk replaced Kang-In’s position. Due to concert tour schedules and preparations for the new album, Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk decided to leave their MC seats, their last day on March 27, 2008. Along with Eunhyuk, Leeteuk is also the DJ for KBS’s Super Junior Kiss the Radio since August 21, 2006. Starting December 2007, Leeteuk became the host of his own show, Leeteuk’s Love Fighter, a variety show of Leeteuk helping to solve troubled couples’ problems.

Leeteuk Car Accident

Leeteuk became seriously injured in a car accident at the morning of April 19, 2007 when returning home after a recording of Super Junior Kiss the Radio. Along with Leeteuk, fellow members Shindong, Eunhyuk, Kyuhyun, and two managers also became victims. Although Shindong and Eunhyuk suffered minor injuries, Leeteuk and Kyuhyun sustained more serious injuries, which required for the two be kept in the hospital for several more days. Leeteuk had glass shards embedded into his back and above his eyes and had a successful surgery of 170 stitches in removing most of them. Leeteuk was discharged out of the hospital on April 30, 2007. However, Leeteuk may still need further surgeries to remove or minimize the scars. Due to Leeteuk’s fast recovery, he was in time to do a last-minute performance in Super Junior’s debut film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007), playing a panda mascot, whch was originally played by Ryeowook.

Leeteuk Cyber Controversy

Three months after the car accident on April 19, Leeteuk appeared as a guest on an episode of School of Rock on July 30, 2007. Leeteuk falsely stated that Korean figure skater, Kim Yu-Na refused his cyworld invitation. After the programme aired, Leeteuk’s fans posted over 7,000 comments on Kim’s cyworld. Kim’s fans counter-attacked Leeteuk’s cyworld, posting hateful comments on his cyworld as well. A day later after the incident Kim publicly clarified that she never refused such an invitation. Ultimately, Leeteuk had to post an official apology for the incident and acknowledged that the refusal never occurred. Leeteuk explained that he wanted to make an interesting topic for the television program and did not expect such a negative consequence. A hearing was held to discuss the incident on August 9, 2007. The panel held in August 2007 discussed that it is hard to know whether a guest on a show is telling the truth or not, since Leeteuk did not tell the story during a live broadcast. Since the show did not verify the story before it was aired, the show has to take responsibility for the incident to have occurred. Charges were not pressed against Leeteuk. Regardless of the clashes, both Kim and Leeteuk became closer and they continued to work together to endorse uniforms for IVY Club.

Yoonah has revealed that Leeteuk has wanted to marry her for 7 years. On the show SBS “Strong heart” which was aired on October 27th, Yoonah said “There is a person here who always said to me that I’m his ideal type” and caught attention from other people. Then she pointed out that person is Super Junior’s Leeteuk. She said “I was a trainee since I’m 13. Leeteuk was 20 then and since that time, he always says jokingly to me that I should marry him”. After hearing this, Leeteuk had said without hesitant “Yoonah is really my ideal type” and “Yoonah calls me every night to ask me to give her advice. So I really think that she likes me” MC Lee SeungGi after heard Leeteuk said that Yoonah was his ideal type had said “I always think that Leeteuk is a weird person”. Later on, FTTS’s Brian had said “Yoonah is almost my ideal type…I will make her my girl…” which made Leeteuk covered Yoonah’s ears with both his hands and made everybody laughing.

KYUHYUN THE YOUNGEST MEMBER OF SUPER JUNIOR

Kyuhyun is the youngest (maknae) member of Korean Boyband Super Junior with Kim Kibum. Kyuhyun is the last member to join the super boy band Super Junior, and is considered as one of the four lead vocalists of the group.He is also a member Super Junior-K.R.Y and Super Junior-M , two subgroups that are branched out from the main group.He is one of the first Korean artists to appear on Chinese postage stamps.

Kyuhyun was added to Super Junior right before their 200th day Anniversary. He was discovered at a Chin Chin Singing Competition and featured in the video of a remake of TVXQ’s song “Hi Ya Ya” with other Chin Chin idols. He is currently a Modern Music major at Kyunghee University.

Kyuhyun Pre-debut

Cho Kyuhyun’s singing talents were discovered after he won third place at the Chin Chin Singing Competition in 2005. He soon signed under SM Entertainment and was featured in the video remake of TVXQ’s single “Hi Ya Ya” along with other Chin Chin idols.

Before Kyuhyun’s addition to Super Junior, the original twelve members were said to be separating and “graduating” as the band was still presented as a project group at the time, the concept being very similar to Japan’s popular girl group, Morning Musume. Although Kyuhyun’s addition to the group initially brought in an unpleasant surprise and dissatisfaction within the group’s fans who supported the original twelve members, Kyuhyun was quickly accepted and acknowledged by the fans as the thirteenth member of Super Junior.

Kyuhyun Debut

Kyuhyun’s first media appearance was mysterious and unspecified. He made his first appearance as a part of Super Junior in a news broadcast on May 23, 2006 when the group was introducing their new single, “U”. Kyuhyun made his debut performance on May 26, 2006 at SBS’s I-Concert performing the new single “U”, where it was also the group’s first return performance as a permanent group. Towards the end of 2006, Kyuhyun, along with Yesung and Ryeowook, was placed in Super Junior’s first subgroup, Super Junior-K.R.Y. The trio debuted on November 5, 2006 on KBS’s Music Bank.

In early 2008, Kyuhyun was placed in a third Super Junior subgroup, Super Junior-M. The subgroup specializes in singing Mandarin songs, including versions of Super Junior’s Korean songs, bringing the K-pop influence over to the Chinese music industry. Super Junior-M is the first international music group in the Chinese music industry to have members of both Chinese and Korean descent.[10] The 7-member group debuted in China on April 8, 2008 at the 8th Annual Music Chart Awards along with the release of their first single music video, “U”.

Not long after Super Junior-M’s debut, they became one of the most celebrated boy-bands in China. The band’s popularity skyrocketed further after their highly anticipated Mini-album, “Super Girl” was released on September 2009.

Kyuhyun April Car Accident

In the early morning of April 19, 2007, just one month before Kyuhyun’s first anniversary in Super Junior, Kyuhyun with Super Junior members Leeteuk, Shindong, Eunhyuk, and two managers were all hospitalized due to a serious car accident when returning from the Super Junior Kiss the Radio show that night. The driver lost control of the vehicle as the van flipped over on its right side. Kyuhyun, who was sitting behind the driver’s seat when the accident occurred, was the most injured and had a fractured hip, pneumothorax from fractured ribs, and facial scratches and bruises. He was slipping in and out of consciousness and was mute because of the shock. Kyuhyun spent 6 days in the ICU before he was moved to a regular hospital room. Kyuhyun also did not need the respiratory machine anymore to support his breathing, though it was said that he was only able to walk on his own one month after the accident.Kyuhyun was discharged on July 5, 2007 after 78 days.

Due to the accident, throughout 2007, Kyuhyun’s participation in many of Super Junior’s activities was limited. He appeared in episode 7 onwards of SBS’s Explorers of the Human Body, however his injuries only allowed him to compete in some activities. Despite still recovery from his injuries, Kyuhyun wowed the audience with his mind-blowing vocals.

Kyuhyun ex-girlfriend Park Haneul

Rumoured said that Kyuhyun had a girlfriend before named Park Haneul. Many girl fans are jealous with Park Haneul, and post her photos kissing with Kyuhyun everywhere. But the truth has not been revealed until today. Park Haneul is better known as Kaoi (嘉愛), her Chinese stage name, she is the only member of the crew who hails from Korea.

Kyuhyun scandal with Thai Superstar

The Super Junior maknae is said to be having a fling with young Thai superstar Kwan Usamanee. A lot of Thai netizens have been reacting to this news and more information is said to be released in the next few days. The news is actually sudden but actually has basis as Kwan has previously worked with Super Junior. People aren’t very worried though as they are continuing to consider the fact that the language barrier is in existence. While it is highly plausible that something is going on, most likely it is merely physical and based on attraction. The rumored affair of the two 21 year old popular idols of their respective countries are causing a stir in the Thai cyberworld as of the current. We shall wait for the reactions/confirmations of either Kwan or Kyuhyun about this hoopla. Kwan apparently has a thing for Asian idols.
